Canon Lens EF 70-200mm 1:2.8 L IS USM Full Review

Canon Lens EF 70-200mm 1:2.8 L IS USM Full Review was reported in August 2001 supplementing (but not replace) stabilized 70-200mm F2.8 L USM with Canon's acclaimed lineup. This is the opportunity that can really be a horse professional working with a solid image stabilization (including dust and moisture), F2.8 large aperture, fast and quiet autofocus and optical ultrasonic motor with a free hand to stroke slow shutter speed. optical design is one of the other side of the complex, which contains 23 elements in 18 groups, 4 UD elements to provide compensation for chromatic aberration. According to Canon, this gives the "high-resolution, high contrast optical capability, as required by the lens, which have to do every day, every day in the hands of professional photographers and the general themes of the circumstances.

70-200mm lens is the EF, and probably is designed to ensure optimum performance from the beginning of the 1-series Canon professional DSLR, 35 mm full-frame and 1.3x crop (APS-H) format (up to the original EOS-1D announced only a month after that goal with one year full-frame EOS-1Ds later). However, it is also perfectly at ease in all Canon APS-C DSLR, offers here a 112-320mm equivalent angle of view.

Of course, the use of multiple formats of Canon sensors throughout their DSLR range has until recently been unique, and raises interesting questions in the design of the objective, given the different requirements of each format (35 mm full-frame sharpness requires uniform in a circle of 43mm diameter image, but APS-C requires a high spatial resolution of the image circle of 28 mm).

Canon also with successive generations of the EOS-1Ds, led the megapixel race deeper into the territory where the only reserved for medium format digital backs, and with 21Mp Mark III retained their position as the undisputed champions of the absolute image quality of 35mm format DSLR (at least until the Sony 24MP sensor makes its way into a production system). But there is probably little point in ever the number of pixels less than the breath lenses may provide the resolution to match, and the 70-200mm F2.8 L IS USM is likely to be a key weapon in the arsenal of more than a full frame shot, so it can offer the required image quality?
